Lolli's Apple Launch

Lolli's Apple was launched at the Art Gallery of NSW on the United Nations International Day Against Discrimination, 21 March 2010. The remarkable story of Tomas, a six year old survivor of Terezin concentration camp, where 16,000 children perished and only 123 survived inspired an overflow crowd from across Sydney.

Our Authors - Julie Ditrich


Julie

Julie is a full-time freelance writer and director of Black Mermaid Productions, a creative team that focuses on comics and books. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional Writing (University of Canberra, 1986) where she majored in freelance writing, script writing and theatre/media, she was a bookseller, publicist, and marketing manager. She coordinated a children’s literary program Aloud in the Park and Aloud in the Powerhouse for several years. Julie was the Publications Manager at the Australian Society of Authors (ASA) where she commissioned, wrote and edited many books. Julie has been published in various magazines including The Australian Author. She recently completed her novel Shadow of the Ba Ka and has worked extensively in the medium of illustrated books and comics where her writing credits include: Dart: The Mini Series (Image Comics, USA), Elfquest: WaveDancers (Warp Graphics, USA), and The Foundling (teaser), (Oblagon Anthology, Kaleidoscope Publishing, Australia).
